  • Design and develop state-of-the-art software for high scale analysis of massive amounts of digitized handwritten documents
  • Collaborate with partnering research institutes and build viable products based on their input
  • Implement, optimize and enhance algorithms that are provided by different partners


  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field such as Statistics, Mathematics or Physics
  • Master degree in Computer Vision or closely related topics
  • Excellent knowledge in Java, C/C++, Python
    Good mathematical understanding
  • Knowledge with neural networks
  • Capability of working in an autonomous way
  • Good programming skills (preferably C++, Python, Matlab)
  • Good communication skills in English / German, both in written and oral form
    Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition and Document Analysis research experience will be an asset.
